As a process, basysPrint UV-plate processing is probably the most environmentally friendly platemaking technology of all.

  • For chemical processing, it is stable and easy-to-maintain with very wide processing tolerances.
  • The high chemistry latitude in the UV plate processor is up to three times longer than digital plates.
  • basysPrint UV-plate processing uses environmentally friendly processing chemistry (a low alkali, soap-like solution that can be poured down the drain; no contamination with heavy metals, silicones, or other hazardous components).
  • Chemistry consumption is very low (20-50 ml per m²)
  • basysPrint's UV-plate exposing equipment consumes very little energy (2 KWH versus 8.3 KWH with thermo plates)
  • The ability to choose from 60 different plate types and plate manufacturers allows for local supply and reduces transport.
